Cheers to another year of pom-poms and cheer uniforms. The new cheerleading squad has been selected for the 2014-2015 school year.

The cheerleaders have reached an all time high in numbers with 18 girls on the squad. Each girl has worked extremely hard to make the team.

The 2014-2015 cheerleading squad includes: Sam Stephens, Bailee Jones, Kaitlyn Wright, Emma Lainheart, Megan Brooks, Nicole Garrett, Shaylee Stoneman, Brynn Jones, Kaydee Kelson, Alicen Perry, Kemri Buck, Bethany Dechamps, Chandlee Allred, Audrey Ludlow, Sadie Lunt, Kaitlyn Sperry, Natalie Tolbert, and Krista Nielson.

For the upcoming freshmen cheerleaders: it is going to be a year of firsts. The first time putting on the uniform. The first time of getting butterflies before their first performance on the football field. The first time performing in front of almost everyone in town.

Brynn Jones (9), a new member of the team, was ecstatic that she made cheer. “All this hard work has paid off. I am so excited to cheer at games, and be apart of this new team,” said Jones.

However, for the Seniors of 2015, it is a year of lasts. The last time they had to go through tryouts. The last time they will attend cheer camp in the summer. The last first performance of the season. The last chance they have to do something to be remembered for.

Kaitlyn Wright (11) is going to be a senior cheerleader for the 2014-2015 school year. "I feel like high school is flying by so fast so I'm really looking forward to get to know the new team and making my last year the very best!" said Wright.

“I am mostly excited for all the school spirit we are going to bring this year. We are going to have more school spirit than ever before and hopefully get a ton of people to sit in the pit and support our athletes!” said Bailee Jones (11) about what is also her upcoming year as a senior cheerleader.

Regardless of whether it is their first or last year, the Juab High School cheerleaders are ready to bring it this year. Unlike in 2013-2014, the cheerleaders will be representing Juab High School at competitions around the state.

Congratulations to the 2014-2015 Juab High School Cheerleading Squad and good luck this year! Thank you for all you do for Juab High School!
